When my baby sister asked me to photograph her, I felt honoured to be asked. There are SO many wonderful photographers out there, and she chose me. So, to you Amy I say thank you. I had the best time with you, and thank you for being one of my original favourite and second test subject when I first started out.
I enjoyed shooting your bridal boudoir session before you got married to Tyler, and I totally enjoyed hanging out with you and your beautiful belly on the past Tuesday. Shooting your maternity boudoir session. How life changes so very quickly! You, now 36 weeks pregnant. Watching your belly grow, feeling your baby move inside of you. A most delicious secret for only you and baby to share. And, to me, a most incredible thing to witness with my own two eyes. My baby sister, having her very first baby! All I know is that you will make a wonderful Mom to your baby-to-be. My niece or nephew…oh how I cannot wait to meet your baby. Pregnancy is most amazing. Birth. Life. A blessing.
I know you like music Amy, and I know you have soundtracks for your life events, well here is a song that I think you will like. And, when I hear this I think about you.
Here are some of my favourites from your maternity session this week!
We had to use a little green apple, as this apple doesn’t fall far from the tree! The theme of their wedding was “Green Apples” so Amy brought the apple along just for fun! Oh, and their wedding song was Green Apples by Chantal Kreviazuk. Beautiful song too.
I love this shot, and this is a tie from their wedding! It may be her husband’s tie, or it may be my husband’s tie. I will never tell
Another fave, I love the way the light shines through the fabric, showing off her most gorgeous curves imaginable.
In glowing colour.
OK, Amy wore this pretty little ensemble for her bridal boudoir session. I LOVE it on her here too! Gorgeous colour!
Love the purple against her skin.
OK, there is a funny story behind this rockin’ chair she is sitting on. First of all, she lugged this chair to my place so that she could have a photo in it. Just like my Mom did with both of my sisters when she had them. Second of all, we kind of laughed because we were reminded of the “Old Fashioned” cover of “What to Expect” book back when I was pregnant for the very first time. We are talking 11 years ago. I wish I had a copy of it. It was very dated, even back then I thought. Amy informs me it has been updated
Amy, my sister. I wish you all of the best as you count down the weeks. I love you. It was a pleasure. Next, time we get together we will probably be taking baby photos!!
